Doesn't It Feel Great?

All I can say is Alleluia!! We (meaning Ben) have been working on getting our backyard sprinklers put in for ohh...the last year or so. We felt it would be much smarter financially for us (Ben) to just do the sprinklers on our own instead of hiring someone to do it. I do understand after being in limbo for so long, why people pay other people to do it. That's OK though. My husband got it done and it did save us a bit of money. We bought the parts from a friend from church last year with the intentions of also having it done last year. That probably would have happened had Ben not gotten in a car accident. His back really bothered him for a while, so the sprinklers just had to wait. This summer though, he was bound and determined. We got someone in with a pipe-puller to start things out. Then we had our good buddy Sherm come over and show Ben what to do as far as hooking everything up. They weren't able to get it all done that afternoon, so Ben's been working as best as he could after work here and there. My parents were in town this weekend and my Dad (who just recently taught himself how to do sprinklers) helped Ben finish up the job. Our grass has definitely been neglected the last couple of months while he's been trying to do it (that's pretty obvious if you look at the picture) but now we are completely up and running and so very excited!! (Ben wanted me to be sure to mention that I made him pose for this picture--but if I hadn't, I'm sure the feeling of pure relief for getting them done was enough to make him want to do cartwheels through the yard!).

We know exactly how you feel with the sprinkler thing. Jake is still working on ours and we started last summer too! It sucks to do sprinklers but it does save a lot of money!

Yay for Ben! At least you can water whenever you want. Our green lawn is being jeapordized by surrounding farmers cutting back on their watering of the fields. So far so good...hopefully we can keep it that way! I hope Lindsey has fun running through the spay!

Good work Ben, I'm sure you are both so happy it's done. The library would be perfect for Lindsey and my date. As soon as I get this stupid thing off my hand lets plan it. It is a lot easier to chase her around with out it. Her auntie sure loves her little bean :)

PS Hope you had a good time with your parents. I'm glad they made it down.

Congrats!! And you still have part of the summer to enjoy your yard. It will green up quick now that it has water. (At least ours did!!)
