We had a wonderful Easter this year. We told Lindsey a week or two in advance that she would have to be good so the Easter Bunny could bring her treats. She misunderstood a little and started telling people "The
Mister Bunny will come to bring me treats!". I thought that was pretty cute. We'd go to the store and whenever she'd want something we'd tell her she needed to be good and we'd see if the Easter Bunny would bring it...sure enough, we knew she'd remember, so she ended up with a watering can and shovel from Lowe's. Anyway, Saturday there was an egg hunt put on by the church at the elementary school. They had it separated out by age groups so the little kids got a good chance at getting eggs. Ben and Lindsey went off to the 3 & 4 year-old group, and I took Courtney to the 0-2 year old's. I started helping Courtney put the eggs in her basket, but as soon as I set her down on the grass, I realized she didn't need my help at all. She went from egg to egg, scooping it up and putting it directly in the basket. Ben said Lindsey's group finished gathering all their eggs within a matter of seconds and it was fun to watch them all.

We dyed some eggs Saturday evening. Aunt Sarah stayed out with us, so she and I helped the girls make them all pretty. Courtney got so excited watching it happen. She couldn't help but squeal with joy.

Easter morning, Lindsey came out to complain about something in a moaning voice when she turned around to the table and saw what the Easter Bunny had left. Her tune quickly changed as she got up onto a chair to examine the goods.

We then went to church and celebrated the most important part of Easter; our Savior, and the life He freely gave. Lindsey was so excited about all that had gone into this wonderful holiday, and as she was leaving church to go out to our car, she yelled "Happy Easter Egg!" to some men out in the parking lot. She's such a funny little girl!
I hope everyone else also had a great Easter!
