Once we got into San Diego we thought it would be good to take the girls over to the beach. The moment Courtney saw what the beach entailed (uncontrolled water), she freaked. Lindsey and I were looking for a place to begin building sand castles, and just as Courtney was afraid would happen, a wave came up from behind and soaked the two of us. You can see how high it got on Lindsey if you look at her shirt. Lindsey took a brief moment to get emotional, but she got over it once I guaranteed we'd find a better place where she could build without getting swept away. She got right down to business and had a blast using her new sand tools. Courtney on the other hand, well...hated every aspect of the beach, and some. Maybe another year we'll have better success!
She was OK, as long as I didn't try to move or set her down.
