Every Saturday for the past several weeks, Lindsey has had a soccer game. At first we wondered how sincere her interest in it was. For example, there was a feather on the ground that had more appeal to her while the game was going on. However, with Ben practicing more out in the back yard with her, each week she has progressively gotten to be a little more involved in the games than the week prior. It started out with her just running behind the team, looking off in space--to where now, she's begun to actually keep up with the team, as well as kick the ball when it comes her way. By no means is she going to push anyone out of her way so she can get to the ball (that's just not in her nature) but she has begun to find fun in it, is more engaged, and actually asks Ben to take her outside to practice. Last Saturday's game Lindsey was able to score her very first GOAL!! Courtney and I were so proud of her (Daddy unfortunately couldn't make it) and she had a giant grin to show the satisfaction of a great accomplishment.
