So...we bought some helmets for the girls so we could feel like we were being good parents when out on bike rides through the neighborhood. Don't ask where Ben and my helmets are...they just weren't in the budget yet. So anyway, the girls were both very excited about having new helmets--Lindsey wanted to wear hers right away. Courtney, however, liked to keep hers at a safe distance. She never really let us put it on her head. Yesterday evening we decided it would be fun to go out again for a ride with the new helmets. I'd tell you how it went, but the pictures don't leave much for the imagination.
It's pretty obvious how each girl felt about the gigantic piece of hard foam being strapped securely to their head. Lindsey thought it was cool--Courtney on the other hand was the exact opposite.
Courtney began to come to terms with it.
But by the end of the trip, neither girl was happy until their helmet disappeared. What a bust!

Ha I love these pics, so fun. I don't think I would have wanted to wear a helmet at that age either.

Oh boy...so i went and apologized to our neighbor. :( I am so dumb. I felt bad after telling those kids to go home, so i went to apologize to them, then saw you, then opened my mouth even FURTHER. ugh. :(
